Dźwięk przestrzenny w grach Battlefield jak dla mnie naprawdę dużo daje. Jeżeli słyszę strzały i widzę, że umiera ktoś z mojego zespołu, to automatycznie kieruję się w to miejsce i wcale nie muszę mieć żadnej minimapy. Natomiast w przypadku posiadania przez tego kogoś tłumika mam większy problem, bo nie jestem w stanie z dużej odległości usłyszeć, z którego miejsca padł strzał. Dlatego w trybie hardcore tłumiki spełniają swoją rzeczywistą funkcję. Minimapa jest przydatna przy śledzeniu zaznaczonych wrogów, ale poza tym polecam po prostu słuchać gry: kroków, strzałów, krzyków wrogów i otoczenia ogółem
